New album, Glossolalia, digital release date 20th May 2015Glossolalia is a follow up to the Giles Lamb’s 2014 album ‘Before The Birds’,
“a collection of tracks that are beautiful, engrossing, and suitably aspirational. In the manner of many of today’s more pop-oriented composers (like Arnalds, Frahm, Wenngren, Kenniff, et al), Lamb sticks to a simple style that hovers around the intersection of modern classical and ambient music. “

'Before The Birds' is a beautiful collection of compositions which have a reflective and meditative quality and are an attempt to evoke the sense of wonderment at the natural order of things. Taking influence from composers such as Arvo Pårt and Susumu Yokota, the album is firmly rooted in the melodic starting off with simple piano and string arrangements with a gradually evolving undertow of electronic and manipulated vocals elements giving the album an ethereal quality.
This is the debut single and precursor release to the forthcoming Lafoden album 'Before The Birds'. The EP features reinterpretations of selected album tracks from Alex Smoke, Talkingmakesnosense, Axel Heiberg and Northern Lighthouse.
